Modern nipa house – A nice way to give an Asian flair to your yard back is building a small house of bamboo. You can use it both to relax on a hot day and for your children to play in it. In Asia, in the Philippines for example, people live in bamboo houses throughout the year. In rural areas, farmers build small bamboo houses called Nipa Chozas. A nipa hut is very similar to a Tiki hut, and bears its name by the palm leaves used to cover the roof of the hut.
Create modern nipa house design on paper. Make the design as simple as possible to make it easy to put into practice. Take measurements of space in your garden where you will build the bamboo house. If you have an isolated area in your backyard, choose that area to have some privacy. Limit the height of the bamboo house to the same height of the perimeter fences, so that they do not protrude above.
For a bamboo modern nipa house in a normal size yard, an area of 3 meters by 2.5 meters is sufficient. Mark the areas using a chalk line. Mark the four corners where the bamboo canes will go. Dig holes 30 cm deep. Place the bamboo reeds in the holes. To keep them firm, first pour concrete into the holes and, before it dries, insert the reeds into them.
